True North Emergency is pleased to announce that Snohomish County Fire District No. 19 has ordered a new Spartan 2500 Gallon Custom Tender to replace an aging 30-year-old apparatus. District No. 19 has worked with True North Emergency in the past; having previously purchased a Tender in 2019 and currently has a Spartan Custom pumper on order that is slated for completion in August 2026.
When configuring District No. 19’s Tender, there were two specific challenges to address. The truck could not exceed 28’6” due to station restrictions. The height also had to remain under 10’ 5” to accommodate bridge clearances in their community. True North Emergency and Spartan worked closely with the district to ensure these restrictions would be met without compromising the tender’s functionality.
“We had strict requirements, but thanks to the expertise of True North Emergency and Spartan, our tender will meet our response needs,” said Chief Strotz, Snohomish County Fire District No. 19. “I enjoyed working with both teams. They know fire trucks, and that knowledge made this model possible. The process of finalizing the specs and configuration has been seamless. We’re looking forward to seeing the truck completed.”
As Snohomish County Fire District No. 19 serves a very rural area, they have limited access to fire hydrants. As a result, the department often uses fold-a-tank operations for its water source. True North Emergency ensured this would not be an issue, providing the tender with a 1000 GMP tank to pump water flow capacity.
Fire District 19 operates out of two stations and provides fire and emergency services across 22 square miles, serving the area between Marysville, Arlington, and Stanwood.
Built to meet the district’s 28’ 6” length requirement, the tender’s specifications include:
- Kenworth T480 Chassis
- Paccar PX-9 400 HP Engine
- Allison 3000 EVS Transmission
- 2500 Gallon Tank
- Waterous CXS 1250 GPM Pump
- All Electric Valves
- 28’ 6” Overall Length
True North Emergency is pleased to continue supporting Snohomish County Fire District No. 19 in protecting their community twenty-four hours a day. We are committed to providing reliable apparatus built to serve their crew and support their mission for years to come.
